Then, our team will work with each other and with you to develop an integrated treatment plan tailored specifically to you.

At AWG we never stop searching for, learning about, and providing powerful and innovative treatment therapies designed to minimize or eliminate your pain and symptoms. Together we strive to heal the whole person, improve quality of life, and restore hope to our patients.

Our Doctors

Dr. Robert “Bob” Kuchel, D.C.

Dr. Bob Kuchel grew up in the Midwest, in Sioux City, Iowa where he learned his mid-western work ethic and values. He worked hard at various jobs over the years, including working for his father's construction business, before finding his current profession. He graduated from East High School where he excelled in sports, while fine-tuning his social skills. He then proceeded to college at the University of South Dakota where he graduated with a BS in Advertising.

After graduation Bob enrolled in the top Chiropractic school in the US—Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. After 25 years in Chiropractic medicine his love for helping and healing others has not diminished.

Needing a new challenge, Dr. Bob sold his three successful clinics in Iowa, and in June 2015 arrived in Anchorage to open Anchorage Wellness Group (AWG).

My Story: How I Became a Chiropractor

I was very active in college intramural sports where my competitive drive flourished. While playing football at USD, I injured my back. Faced with a choice, back surgery or chiropractic care, I chose the non-invasive chiropractic over going under the knife. The Doctor of Chiropractic I went to put together a comprehensive three-month plan that I followed to the letter. I had always been active and was committed to regaining all function. At the end of approximately three months, I was healed, with chiropractic care only. Afterwards, I stayed on a chiropractic maintenance program and have not had any back problems since. After this experience with chiropractic healing, I was completely intrigued. I wanted to know more so I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine, a career that would be meaningful, where I could help others just as I was helped. And that’s just what I did for the past 25 years, and what I am so excited to do now, at a growing, thriving clinic in Anchorage.
